A new era in television broadcasting is beginning with digital terrestrial broadcasting. Viewers will be able to receive digital TV broadcasts without a satellite dish or internet connection, using compact indoor antennas.
As TUYAD, we conducted on-site tests of indoor Gongren antennas designed to benefit all stakeholders across the industry, hosted by Kule A.Ş. Currently, 15 channels are actively broadcasting on the system, with plans to increase the number of channels and expand DVB-T2 broadcasts in the coming period.
Indoor antennas, which are expected to replace traditional large rooftop antennas, can also offer an important advantage for households with multiple televisions. Instead of requiring a separate set-top box for each TV, digital terrestrial broadcasts can be received with a suitable antenna.
As TUYAD, we aim to position indoor antennas as a new product and market opportunity for our industry. Enabling companies to supply these products under their own brands will contribute both to the wider adoption of digital terrestrial broadcasting and to the creation of a new market for the sector.
