On Tuesday, November 4, at the Ataşehir head office, under the moderation of TUYAD President Hayrettin Özaydın, a meeting on “measures to be taken in the fight against illegal broadcasting” was held with the participation of IPTV platform representatives.
In the meeting, topics such as the relationship between pirate broadcasting and illegal betting applications, data security violations caused by pirate TV applications and the national security risks they may cause, app applications, short-term subscriptions experienced in OTT Subscription Agreements and the financial risks they create, public spot works, etc. were discussed.
In our meeting attended by our members Türksat, Digitürk, Dsmart, Eylemedia, Skybeam, and Metesis, the works to combat illegal broadcasting, the report and recommendations to be prepared for the relevant institutions were discussed.
It was decided to form a joint legal working group and to send the public demand petition to the relevant institutions with the approval of the Board of Directors.
